How can a team register for the tournament?
Teams must complete the official online registration form and pay the registration fee. Both steps are required for the registration to become valid and confirmed. A registration is not considered final until the payment has been received.
Is there an early bird discount?
Yes. Teams that register early benefit from significantly reduced fees. The Super Early Bird rate is €190 per team until 1 September 2026, followed by the Early Bird rate of €290 per team until 1 December 2026. After that, the standard registration fee of €390 per team applies – so booking early offers the best value.
What is the final registration deadline?
The final registration deadline is 28 February 2027. The last discounted rate – the Early Bird fee of €290 per team – is available until 1 December 2026; after that, teams can still register at the standard rate of €390 per team until the deadline, while places remain available. Spots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend registering as early as possible to secure your team's place.
Is it possible to arrive earlier for training?
Yes. Teams are welcome to arrive a few days earlier – or even a week before the tournament – to organise a training camp in Budapest. We provide professional international-level sport halls, gym and fitness facilities, as well as wellness and spa options to help players prepare and relax before the competition.
Is catering included in the accommodation packages?
Yes. The accommodation packages include full board, meaning breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided daily for participants.
How far are the accommodations from the venues and the city center?
Most accommodations are located approximately 1–3 kilometers from both the match venues and Budapest's city center, ensuring convenient access to games and sightseeing opportunities.
What additional benefits does the Gold Card provide?
In addition to everything included in the Silver Card – at least 4–5 tournament matches, access to the Opening Ceremony and the Players' Party, and medical care during the games – the Gold Card also includes unlimited use of Budapest public transport throughout the tournament. If you choose any official accommodation package, the Gold Card is only €20 extra.
How long are the matches in each age category?
Match durations depend on the age category: BU18 and GU18 play 2 × 25 minutes; BU16, GU16, BU14 and GU14 play 2 × 20 minutes; and BU12, BU10, GU12 and GU10 play 2 × 15 minutes.
What ball sizes are used in the tournament?
The tournament uses official handball ball sizes matched to each age category: Size 3, Size 2 and Size 1, with soft junior balls for the youngest Mini Handball (U10) categories.
Who officiates the matches and which rules apply?
All matches are officiated by experienced referees and played according to IHF and Hungarian Handball Federation rules, ensuring a fair and professional competition environment for every team.
